ترکز هذه الدراسة على تشغیل مزارع الواحات فی المنطقة الجنوبیة لوادی ریغ فی الجنوب الشرقی الجزائری. وتهدف إلى تحدید العناصر الاساسیة لأنظمة الإنتاج، وقیودها التنمویة، وفهم دینامیکیتها التنمویة. تم مسح عینة من 121 مزرعة، جمعت ستین (60) متغیراً کمیاً ونوعیاً باستخدام دلیل المسح. النتائج التی تم الحصول علیها، باستخدام طریقة التحلیل الوصفی على أساس معیار نظام الانتاجی، مکنتنا من تحدید وتوصیف أربعة أنواع من أنظمة الإنتاج الزراعی: (1) نظام النخیل التمر –الزراعة البینیة -التربیة الحیوانیة، وهو النظام الأکثر حاضرًا والدی یقدم ربحیة معینة ودینامیکیة أفضل. (2) نظام نخیل التمر-الزراعة البینیة، (3) نظام نخیل التمر -التربیة الحیوانیة المهمش ولکنه یظل نشاطًا مربحًا نسبیًا، و (4) نظام إنتاج یمارس فقط زراعة نخیل التمر التی تتمیز بالرکود ونشاط زراعی منخفض للغایة یقتصر على قلیل من العملیات الزراعیة.
