This experiment was condated at the Najaf province in order to study theeffect of organic matter and nitrogen fertilizer on growth and yield ofSquash. Three levels of organic matter 0,10 and 20 ton /ha and three levelsof nitrogen fertilizer 0,100 and200kgN/ha than were added as urea withthree replicates by using RCBD and the means of the treatment werecompared by using LSD(P<0.05) .The results showed that the increase oforganic matter leads to increase the highest plant and number of branches,number of leaves –dry weight- of fruits-leaf area and the yield was 20ton/ha of organic matter with 200kg N/ha that was given hest values ofplant –number of branches and leaves-dry weight of shoot number of fruitand the total yield which was13.48 ton/ha .
