Effect of Foliar Zinc Application and Irrigation with Magnetic Water on Zinc Concentration in Grain , Growth and Rice Yield Variety Alyasmin ( Oryza Sativa L. ) .

A field experiment is conducted in Al – Najaf Governorate during summer season 2015 to study the effects of magnetic water irrigation and Zinc foliar applications on Zinc concentration in grain , yield and growth of rice (Oriza sativa L.) of Yasmin variety . Treatments include using zinc ( ZnSo4.7H2O ( 23 % ZN ) with three levels (0 , 75 , 150) mg.zn.L-1 and tow levels of magnetic water irrigation ( magnetic 3500 gauss and no treatment ) Split plot according to RCBD with three replicates is designed . The following results are obtained :
1- The levels of magnetic water irrigation have significant effect on zinc concentration 32.6 mg . kg-1 grain , straw yield 9.75 mega gm. h-1 , plant height 116 cm , length of spikelet 27.03 cm, no. of seed in spikelet 130 seeds , wt. of 1000 grain ( 20gm ) .
2- There is a significant effect of the level of foliar Zinc on % fertility 17.75 % , grain yield 6.14 mega gm.h-1 ,zinc concentration 32.7 mg . kg-1 grain , no. of spikelet 409.3 .m-2 , straw yield straw yield 9.72 mega gm. h-1 , plant height 116 cm , length of spikelet 26.9 cm.
3 - The interaction between magnetic water & levels of Zinc application affects significantly in the grain yield 6.77 mega gm.h-1 , straw yield 10.28 mega gm. h-1 and zinc concentration in grain 35.3 mg Zn.kg-1 grain , plant height 119 cm , length of spikelet 28.7 , no. of seed in spikelet (143 seeds) , weight of 1000 grain ( 20.6 gm. ) .
) .

The Effect of Organic and Nitrogen Fertilizers on Yield and Its Component of Rice Variety Amber 33 (Oryza sativa L.) .

A field experiment is conducted at Al – Mishkhab rice research station in Al – Najaf Governorate during summer seasons 2013 and 2014 to study the effects of organic matter and the chemical N fertilizer to reduce chemical N fertilizer and determine the best dose for both fertilizers to give the best grain yield and growth of rice (Oryza sativa L.) Amber 33 variety . Treatments include four level of organic matter ( 0 , 5 , 10 , 15 ) ton .h-1 at sub plots and three levels of nitrogen fertilizer ( 0 , 50 , 100 ) kg .N . h-1 at main plot . split is conducted with three replicates . The following results are obtained:
1-Superiority of nitrogen at 100 kg .N h-1 in grain yield ( 5480 , 5320 ) kg h-1 and the weight of 1000 grain ( 20.2 , 20.1 ) gm. and the number of grain per spike ( 170 , 159 ) and the number of spike in M2 ( 349 , 326 ) and the biological yield ( 5926 , 5041 ) kg h-1 and spike length in the second season 26.2 cm and plant height ( 143 , 135 ) cm as compared with control treatment for both seasons.
2-The organic matter at 15 ton h-1 treatment has significant effect on the plant height ( 129 , 133 ) cm and the length of spike ( 26.4 , 26.6 ) cm and biological yield ( 5655 , 5584 ) kg h-1 and grain yield ( 5072 , 5436 ) kg h-1 and the number of spike in M2 ( 322 , 362 ) as compared with control treatment of both seasons.
3-The interaction between levels of organic matter & levels of nitrogen application is affected significantly in grain yield , the number of spike and the plant height at 15 ton .h-1 and 100 kg .N.h-1 of both seasons .

The Impact of Bio fertilizer (EM1) and the Different Levels of Nitrogen and Mixed Chemical Fertilizers Addition on the Yield of Rice and it's component

A field experiment is carried out during June to November, 2014 to study the impact of chemical fertilizers with biofertilizer (EM1) on the yield of rice and its components (Oryza sativa L.), cv.Yasamin. The experiment is done using Completely Randomized Block Design with three replicates. There are four treatments of mixed fertilizers, urea and biofertilizer (EM1) that is used in this study, T1 (recommended dose of chemical fertilizer for rice), T2 (biofertilizer + 1/4 recommended dose of chemical fertilizer for rice), T3 (1/2 recommended dose of chemical fertilizer for rice) and T4 (biofertilizer + whole recommended dose of chemical fertilizer for rice). Significantly, increases are observed in seeds per panicle, 150.9, number of tillers.m-2 462 and grain yield, 5.31 Mg. ha-1 in T4 treatment). Using biofertilizer (EM1) reduces spikelet sterility to 4%.

Different Plant Density by Transplanting Square Pattern With Wide Spacing and Its Influence on Yield and Yield Components

A field experiment has been conducted in Al-Mishkhab Rice Research Station at Najaf governorate during rice season 2010. The aim of this study is to know the effect of different planting density in the form of transplanting on the grain yield and its components of rice Jasmine variety. Five planting densities are used ] 7plant per m² equal (38×38)cm, 9 plant per m² equal (32×32)cm, 11plant per m² equal (30×30)cm, 13plant per m² equal (28×28)cm, 15 plant per m² equal (25×25)cm [. The experiment uses RCBD in three replications. Variance analysis results has revealed that the 15 plant per m² density is significantly increases the grain yield, active tiller number per m², sterile percentage per panicle, biological yield are in average (54.3%), (61.4%), (48.7%) and (50.2%) respectively, and decreased the filled grain number per panicle, and plant high are in average (29.2%), and (8.1%) respectively. Ultimately it can be concluded that the planting density is one of the important key factors to obtain higher yield. Accordingly, it can be recommended that the 15 plant per m² density of Jasmine rice variety planting by transplanting method is the most appropriate density in Iraq rice growing areas as it causes the maximum grain yield, and will contribute to cut down the need cost by reducing the seed rate.

Evolution Using of Four Liquid Vegetal Organic matter for Fertilizing of Rice (Oryza Sativa L.) Instead of chemical Fertilizer.

Afield experiment has been conducted in the Mishkhab Rice Research station in Najaf Governorate during two consecutive rice seasons in 2010 and 2011 to evaluate the use of four types of liquid vegetal organic fertilizer , namely : Tecno Kel , Agri M40 , Tecamin Algae and Tecamin Max on the quality and productivity of the yield .
Two rice varieties , namely : Anber-33 and Jasmin have been utilized to evaluate the effect of the organic fertilizers on the yield and growth characteristics .The treatment is compared with the chemical fertilizer recommended by the National program for Rice Development .
The experiment is designed using the Random Complete Block Design (RCBD) technique . The results reveal significant superiority of (Agri-M40) achieving grain yield of (5811) and (5571) kg/ha for the 2010 and 2011 experiment respectively .
These results are attributed to the improved qualities of this organic fertilizer such as the reduced rate of infertility , as well as the enhanced weight of the grains based on the scale of 1000 grains method , compared with the traditional chemical fertilizers commonly used in rice plantations in Iraq . Therefore , the use of extraction of vegetal manure for fertilizing the rice fields instead of chemical fertilizers is recommended to reduce the polluting impact on the environment .

The Influence of Some Rice Seeds Resources on Purity and Productivity

A field study has been conducted at rice growing farmers who had used different seeds resources from Al-Mishkhab Rice Research Station(AMRRS), Iraqi Seeds Company(ISC), and Farmer's Self Saved Seeds(FSSS) of two rice varieties Anber33 and Jasmine. The study aims of to knowing the roll of different rice seeds resources on shifting of purity and productivity of five rice growing seasons in Al-Mishkhab district at Najaf Ashraf province during 2010- 2014. The study includes all rice growing farmers who have used improved seeds from worthy resources or from self-saved seeds. The results showed that the areas and rice growers of improved seeds are increased annually. It is found that there is main differentiations in grain purity and productivity from these different resources, show increased in purity and productivity as average from (AMRRS) resource (100%) and (11%) respectively compared with (FSSS) resource. This result may be attributed to that few of rice growing farmers purchase their seeds from trusted resources, while many others were depend on selected seeds from their own fields(self saved seeds). The study recommends to improve new varieties at research station, producing good seeds quality, enhancing of seed production system with supporting by the government, implementing of new strategy to encourage and training the rice farmers on using the best scientific ways to seed selection, concentrating on extension of programs on using improved seeds, and innovating of seed production system and its laws.

Morphological Description of several Rice Varieties Using UPOV Guide

Afield study has been conducted at Al-Mishkhab rice research station(Najaf Governorate) in 2011 rice season to study the morphological relationship and distribution of eight rice varieties(Anber33, Jasmine, Furat1, Barnamaj4, Mishkhab1, Mishkhab2, Anber Abbasiya, Anber Al-baraka). Transplanting method has been used for planting in rows(30×20)cm distance between seedlings into plots (5×5)m size. The study has been designed using RCBD in three replications. The recommended fertilizer has been added. At rice cycle, the weeds are removed by hand for three time. The UPOV description of 27 morphological characters has been used. The results obtained show that seven out of the twenty seven studied characters could be distinguish between the eight varieties.
The rest of the characters, show less variability among the eight varieties. Genetic similarity based on morphological characters showed that genetic similarity degree ranged from (0.81 to o.98). The genetic similarity between Anber abasiya, Barnamaj4, Mishkhab2, and Furat1 varieties were (0.93). There is a variability between Anber33 and Jasmine with other varieties which appear similarity at the distant is(0.91), these varieties are different as separate branches than the other. The Mishkhab1 and Anber Al- baraka appear similarity as a separate group at distant (0.98).

The Effect of Organic Matters on tow Cultivars of Rice (Anber-33 and Yassimen)

A field experiment has been conducted at Diwaniya Governorat of 2010,2011 seasons . The study determines the effects of Agri ful on growth and yield of rice (oryza sativa) behavior of tow cultivars(Anber-33 and Yassimen).
The experiment has been conducted as a factorial experiment with R.C.B.D design with three Replicates to determine the best level of organic matter and best cultivars.
Results show that yassimen cultivar gives the first level (4liter h-400 liter water)of organic matter superior in giving higher grain Kg/Donum .due to the higher of filled panicle ,biological yield ,index harvest season 2010,2011 significantly higher than the other .
Anber-33 cultivar is superior in giving higer1000 grain significant weight higher than the other cultivar due to giving the lest mean of infertility percentage the interaction between the two cultivars and the three concretions of organic matter level is significant higher than the number of grain non filled panicle and infertility percentage and grain yield gm-1 .

The Effect of Planting Date on the Characteristics Behavior of Rice Cultivars

A field experiment has conducted at the Wassit governorate during 2009 and 2010 growing season to study the effect of planting dates (1,15 June and 1 july ) on the Behavior characteristics four Rice cultivars (Baghdad, Menathera, Furat and Anber-33
The experiment has been conducted as a factorial experiment with R.C.BD design with three replicates to determine the best cultivar and the best date to production .
Results have showed that the second planting date (15 of june ) is significantly higher than the other dates in flag leaf area ,number panicles , number of grain in a panicle , grain yield and less infertility ratio .
Menathera cultivar is significantly earlier of flowering 50% smallest mean for flag leaf area، The Second planting date(15 of june ) give the highest grain yield (4.388 and 4.388 ton/hec ) respectively.
Furat cultivar has given the smallest mean of infertility percentage .Baghdad cultivar is superior in plant high, number of panicles, number of grain in the panicle , 1000 grain Wight ,and the grain yield (4.003 ton / hec) . The interaction of second date with Baghdad cultivar gives the highest grain yield (5.200 and 5.030tan / hec) respectively.

A field experiment has been conducted at AL-Muthanaa Governorate, during 2009 , 2010 and 2011 growing seasons to study the effect of four planting dates (1, 10, 20 June and 1 Jules) 0n growth and yield of six rice genotypes (IR-60819, RP-2235, MESHKAB-1, MESHKAB-2, YASSMEN AND ANBAR-22).Factorial arrangement in R.C.B. Design is used with three replicates .
Result have showed a significant effect of planting date on flag leaf area, infertility, number of panicle per m2, number of grain per panicle, grain weight, and grain yield that arrive 5.01, 5.28 and 4.87 ton/ ha. The genotypes significant effect in all studied characteristics except infertility, The genotype of YASSMEN and MESHKAB-2 genotypes have high mean of grain yield 3.98 and 3.65 ton/ ha at 2009. MESHKAB-1 and YASSMEN genotypes have given high grain yield 3.98 and 3.73 ton/ ha at 2010. MESHKAB-1and IR-60819 genotypes gave high grain yield 3.76 and 3.42 ton/ ha at 2011for tow genotypes respectively.
The interaction has significant effect on studied characteristics especially in 2009 and 2010.
The combinations (ANBAR-22 x 10 June) have given high grain yield 5.57 ton/ ha. (YASSAMEN x 10 June) have high grain yield arrives 5.75 ton/ ha in 2010. In 2010 the combinations (YASSAMEN x 10 June) and (MESHKAB-1 x 10 June) have given high grain yield amounts to 5.47 ton/ ha. The low means of yield for genotypes were obtained with 1 jule sowing date.
